Terms of Service

DraftOut lets you record or upload voice notes and turns them into transcripts, clean summaries, and drafts. It also lets you organize, search, and chat across the content you have recorded. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

You sign in using Sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

You retain ownership of the voice recordings, transcripts, notes, and other content you create or upload (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transcribe, and analyze Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service for you — including sending it to the third-party processors described in our Privacy Policy. This license ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, except for content already processed or retained as required by law.

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights necessary to record, upload, and process it through the Service.

The Service uses third-party AI models to generate transcripts, summaries, drafts, and chat responses. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading, and it does not constitute professional advice. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any output before relying on or sharing it. We make no warranty as to the accuracy of AI-generated content.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose;
• Record or upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes others' rights or privacy;
• Upload unlawful, harmful, harassing, or abusive content;
• Attempt to access areas or data you are not authorized to access;
• Reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service or its security; or
• Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our permission.

The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription plans. Paid subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Where applicable, subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel before the renewal date.

You manage, change, or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Refunds and cancellations are governed by the policies of the app store through which you purchased, and we may be unable to process refunds directly. Pricing and plan details are shown in the app at the point of purchase.

The Service relies on third-party providers (including OpenAI, Supabase, Adapty, Apple, and Google) to function. Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' applicable terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and the DraftOut name and logo, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding without our prior written permission. Your Content remains yours.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI output will be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DraftOut will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. To the extent we are found liable, our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings → Profile → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that could cause harm or legal liability. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to applicable law, the courts of India will have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service.
